Feature Request:
Add a severity field (dropdown or checkbox) when logging faults:
e.g:
Critical
Urgent
Non-critical
Monitor
Link this to an automatic “action by” date based on severity (e.g. critical = same day, urgent = 24 hrs, etc.).
Set initially by the user
Able to be overridden by admin
Also add a “Cleared by DMO” status option for faults that have been reviewed but will not be attended to.
Why this is needed:
Currently, all faults default to the same priority and timeframe (e.g. 7 days), even when the risks vary significantly.
For example, the following are all treated the same:
Coolant/air warning faults
Wheel alignment issues
Locker doors not indicating closed
Seatbelt retraction issues
Minor hardware damage
These clearly require different response times.
This change would improve prioritization, safety, and overall fleet management with minimal complexity.
